Morning Update/ Market Thread 4/23

Futures are flat to slightly higher this morning as the higher price levels of both AAPL and EBAY have held overnight so far. Here’s the overnight action:

Weekly unemployment claims rose to 640,000, up from 613,000 in the short week last week. Continuing claims rose to a new all time record with 6.14 million people on the roles.

Existing home sales come out at 10 Eastern, and there are a ton of bond auctions today along with the release of the current money supply. Tomorrow is durable goods and new home sales.

The dollar is slightly lower this morning, gold is up. Keep an eye on the bond market, we’re still sitting right near the line in the sand where pressure is mounting.

That’s about it unless you want to talk about your own government bidding against themselves again trying to “save” Chrysler (again) who isn’t really an auto maker anymore but is instead a hedge fund of the elite. No? I don’t really want to go there either, too disgusting.

Have a good day and we’ll see you in the market thread…
